The Spilt Ink is an emerging Instagram Page, serving as a literary platform for Indian writers since 2017. It was started by Bhawana Sarma, a college going student from Guwahati, Assam who is herself serving the local audience of Guwahati as a Hindi Spoken Word poet. The page has successfully captured variety of writings such as poems, shayari, microtales, quotes and musings in Hindi and English language, and caters to both Indian and International content creators abroad. It is soon going to complete its 1000th post with writeups being featured once or twice daily. The writers voluntarily submit their writeups from all round the country and are not in any contract or membership with the page. The Page is single-handedly managed by the Admin Bhawana Sarma. Recently, taking the opportunity of the lockdown period, an online open mic was held on the page named ‘Saaz-e-dil’ which attracted numerous artistes from Assam and others states, and it has currently taken a pause after the completion of its fourth installment. The page holds a motto to become the voice of the unheard ‘because words never die.’
