Why are the weak, naive and innocent always blamed
For crimes they never committed, why are they shamed?
When they’re victims of something so huge
Picking up their faults, all you do is rant and abuse?
Why are their voices always silenced
Humanity dragged down, morality twisted and bent!
Trying to hide from your judging eyes
While you abuse them with hatred and lies!
And when they give up on their lives, you mourn
Organise strikes, protests and candle marches for the pain that was borne
For hiding their pains and blemishes, they’re adorn!
But have you looked at their souls, ripped apart and torn?
Reading their stories, silently I cry
When it was time for the truth, why did you lie?
Dragging on their lives, struggling, hiding their tear
Did you see now the extent upto which they bear?
Just pat their shoulder, tell them they did well
Cheer them, why remind them again if they fail?
Think hard, can you give them a reason to live
Hope, smile or happiness, are those things you can’t give?
